When It Comes to You

(Elin Sigvardsson)

I have given all my life to you,
Still I can't see you through.
I've been waiting for a star to fall
And I've come to the point where I can't stand one more single lie,
No more lies.
You gave me gold and I called you teaser
But you told all your friends: "It was just to please her".
How come every road I walk is winding,
When I can watch from behind as you are sliding?

I believe in life,
I believe in dreams,
I believe in everything in between,
But I know for sure my love is more than you can retrieve.
I gave it all, I got it back, right in the face it's just the fact
That my pure love has turned to hate when it comes to you...

He turns page in his magazine
And I watch him putting on that grin,
Then I say it all out loud.
That I've come to the point where I can't stand one more single lie,
No more lies.
As the color of his face starts turning
I take my chance to say what I'd like him to learn
And what gets me the most is that he's always sliding,
When every road I walk seems to be winding?

I believe in life,
I believe in dreams,
I believe in everything in between,
But I know for sure my love is more than you can retrieve.
I gave it all, I got it back, right in the face it's just the fact
That my pure love has turned to hate when it comes to you...

I have given all my life to you
Still I can't see you through.
I've been waiting to for a star to fall.
And I've come to the point where I can't stand one more single lie,
No more lies.

I believe in life,
I believe in dreams,
I believe in everything in between,
But I know for sure my love is more than you can retrieve.
I gave it all, I got it back, right in the face it's just the fact
That my pure love has turned to hate when it comes to you...

Where to Start

(Elin Sigvardsson)

She makes herself some coffee filled with sugar, milk and truth.
It's hard to dislike somebody who really likes you.
She's alone as she strums her guitar she remembers all the things you've said and done.
All her lies are gone, everything from now on will come to matter more.

She says: Hey, do you mind me asking for a part
of your love, of your world, of your bed, of your heart?
Hey, do you mind telling me where to start?

She steps into the shower, it's been a lonely day.
She was supposed to call me and drop a few words but the hours ran away.
And the night is a friend of hers now that she finally got her bad dreams ripped out of sight.
When the moon is out she sails on to you, you know you'll come to matter now...

She says: Hey, do you mind me asking for a part
of your love, of your world, of your bed, of your heart?
Hey, do you mind telling me where to start?

Cruise & Crash

(Elin Sigvardsson)

I have been across the border,
I've tasted earth and blood.
I've seen rain touch the water on dislocated spots.
I've been losing my head, yes I've lost my mind,
So will you save me in the end from telling all these lies?
Of course you will and I'll be misunderstood.

You cruise, I crash.
You slide, I smash.
You're fire and I'm ash.
I won't even ask you why.

I am bound to inspire,
But I'm tired of my own brain.
Seven hours of entire ridiculous pain.
There are strangers inside my aura and my sphere.
I guess I've lost the fight - but you're still there
And you will shine again,
And I'll be misunderstood.

You cruise, I crash.
You slide, I smash.
You're fire and I'm ash.
I won't even ask you why.

You will shine again and I'll be misunderstood

You cruise, I crash.
You slide, I smash.
You're fire and I'm ash.
I won't even ask you why.

Dear I

(Elin Sigvardsson)

Dear eye, don't cry until it's over.
You're fine and your looks won't grow older.
Don't kill what runs up and down your hill before you're sure,
Just fill you own imagination with the thrill from before.

If I'd let you fall behind,
Would you still wanna be mine, would you like to resign
If I'd let you cross my mind, would you mind?

Dear head lay and rest against my shoulder.
We've had our summer, now let's crash into october.
Beside all the leaves you sit and hide from everything.
You're tired and you don't wanna listen to the lines that I sing.

If I'd let you fall behind,
Would you still wanna be mine, would you like to resign
If I'd let you cross my mind, would you mind?

Dear hands, please lay yourselves down on me.
This fall you can let those arms surround me...

If I'd let you fall behind,
Would you still wanna be mine, would you like to resign.
If I'd let you cross my mind, would you mind?

Papercup Words

(Elin Sigvardsson)

I'll let it burn.
Words in a dirty paper cup.
And I'm gonna turn, cause I've had it with this place for now.
I'm gonna find shelter where you can't call me, where you can't grab me.

If I got to choose, had the opportunity to switch location or set my mind on whatever I wanted to,
I would take it right away from you.

You brought me in and you spoke in tongues about what lies within.
About your little fire.
You brought me in and you didn't even see how my tears ran.
I was too tired to listen to you then

Saturday night.
You've got taste for fireside.
It's open mike at kings head downtown, but I can't manage to get myself there somehow.
A million reasons just to sit along here and speak to the telly and listen to your conversations

You brought me in and you spoke tongues about what lies within.
About your little fire.
You brought me in and you didn't even see how my tears ran.
I was too tired to listen to you then.

I'll let it burn, words in a broken paper cup.

Treading Water

(Elin Sigvardsson)

He's out there making shadows in the snow,
Pretending he's a star.
He's running around there now, trying to steal the show,
But probably he'll never get that far

He's perfectly ordinary and he has made mistakes,
But he claims it's all gonna end up his way.
It's all gonna end up his way.

He's inside my head and I'm treading water.
Cause every time he catches a breath I'm feeling much smaller,
Every time he shuffles a step I'm falling much harder.

He's worst of them all maybe, but he plays a little foolish game with me
And I swear it's all gonna and up his way.
Every restless hour is gonna end up his way.

He's inside my head and I'm treading water.
Cause every time he catches a breath I'm feeling much smaller,
Every time he shuffles a step I'm falling much harder.

Then him, then now, then him.

You Get What You Earn

(Elin Sigvardsson)

Curtain's down, martini's dry.
I've come to lift you up somehow,
You've spent too many years in this damn town.

Years to come and years to go,
You'll get none, though it's your show.
You've put too many steps on the same ground

You've had your time.
You've had your turn.
You've had your share.
I don't mean to be unfair, but you've got to learn.
You only get what you earn

Never heard what your head said.
Painted blue, though your thoughts were red.
You're still way too tired for your own bed.

What's wrong with your appetite,
Are you feeling way too full to even have a bite?
How can you see yourself clear, you're out of sight.

You've had your time.
You've had your turn.
You've had your share.
I don't mean to be unfair, but you've got to learn.
You only get what you earn

Why didn't you care, why were you just lying there?
Why did you let it burst when it could bear?
Why didn't you come, shouldn't you be on the run?
Now your star is crashed and burnt and gone.

You've had your time.
You've had your turn.
You've had your share.
I don't mean to be unfair, but you've got to learn.
You only get what you earn...

A Person Called She

(Elin Sigvardsson)

She tries to reach him in the morning,
But he just took off without warning.
She'd like a laid-back conversation,
Instead she's filled up with hesitation.
And it's the same part, same game,
Same procedure as every day
And she's cold, so cold.

She's alone again and she's trying to see an end.
She's dying to have a friend.
She's alone again.
She's alone again with all his hollow words.
She suffers a reverse.
She's alone again.

A weak attempt of make-believe
Is all she manages to achieve,
When she draws a breath and counts to ten,
But as she exhales it's gone again.
And she feels like a crazy fool
When she goes lalala and longs to be.
But it helps it makes her float away,
To another place where she can stay.
And it's the same part, same game,
Same procedure as every day
And she's cold, so cold.

She's alone again and she's trying to see an end.
She's dying to have a friend.
She's alone again.
She's alone again with all his hollow words.
She suffers a reverse.
She's alone again.

It's funny how all this goes by.
I blame it all on her, this person called she,
But I guess it shows, it's all about me.

I'm alone again and i'm trying to see an end.
I'm dying to have a friend.
I'm alone again.
I'm alone again with all his hollow words.
I suffer a reverse.
I'm alone again.

If I

(Elin Sigvardsson)

If I tried to abuse you. if I did you wrong.
If I ever accused you for stealing my songs.
If I lightly disturbed you with my unfaithful laws.
If it slightly occurred to you that I wasn't yours.

Then excuse me for being this mad,
But it's all in my head
And I get nothing done as the sun moves up and down without you.

If you ever did see me on somebody else's arm.
If I told you to believe me when I lied like a charm.

Then excuse me for being this mad,
But it's all in my head
And I get nothing done as the sun moves up and down - without you.

If I lied, if I talked,
If I hit you in the dark, if I swore to never leave and then let you fall apart.

If my thoughts were too qeer,
If I could have been there,
If I pushed you around,
Then I excuse myself now...

If I lied, if I talked,
If I hit you in the dark, if I swore to never leave and then let you fall apart.

Like a Charm

(Elin Sigvardsson)

Taste the tears on my chin and swallow.
They came there with a grin of sorrow
And a tangled mind that considers this and that,
That digs to find but hasn't managed quite yet.

But I'm fine, like a charm,
Resting here on your arm and you're taking my thoughts away.

Kiss the demons goodbye and take me
In your arms, hold me tight.
Shake me to this gentle beat,
Keep me safe with your hands
And feel the heat, it makes me wanna dance.

I'm fine, like a charm,
Resting here on your arm and you're taking my breath away.

I'm fine like a charm,
Resting here on your arm and you're making me wanna stay.

When I leave

(Elin Sigvardsson)

Those who told us that life is a triviality,
they are liars and couldn't care less about you and me.
Don't demand me to stay 'cause I'm totally free
and I'm gonna find shelter and tranquility.

May those people who blather be seized with remorse.
I am proud and I'm gonna sit up on the highest horse.
My sweater is itching, my shoes are too small,
gotta find a way out of this desert hole.

When I leave, no one needs to care about pretty little me.
When I leave, no one needs to ask, no one has to wonder where I am.

Those who walk across the borders and never get back,
With their heads in the clouds and their essentials in a backpack.
They will fall, they will rise,
they will stand up again and they'll tell themselves: "This is experience".

When I leave, no one needs to care about pretty little me.
When I leave, no one needs to ask, no one has to wonder where I am.
